How I Survive WFH: Part 2

Can you believe it’s almost been a year since the first lock down?

Personally I’m still processing 2016, but that’s another post. I was deep in thought again *procrastinating* and thought I could add a few more tips to this post since we’re all getting cabin fever by now.

Uno. I turn off all my devices when I clock out every day (phone, laptop from 2007). It helps reinforce those boundaries when someone decides they want to talk at 11 p.m. When I was on call 24/7, obviously I couldn’t turn off my work phone and sometimes it became difficult to maintain work-life balance.

Dos. I clean the space that I used for work when I’m done for the day. I put any paperwork into my work bag as well as my laptop. It can be tedious repeating this every day, but I find that if it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind.

Tres. Candles/incense/oil diffuser is a great way to not have your home smell like a land fill. I have specific scents for when I’m working and when I’m binging Forensic Files. I enjoy using orange or eucalyptus essential oil for work, and lavender when I’m relaxing.

Does anyone else feel the existential dread kicking in, or is it just me?
