I Don’t Know My Job Title and I’m Too Afraid to Ask

If you have been keeping up with the hot mess that is my life, you know I started a new job recently. I am really enjoying it, and am learning a lot about my new position and the new field I’m in. But one thing I’m still confused on is what exactly my job title is. I have heard two different job titles since I started, and I’m not sure which one is the “official” title once I’ve completed training. From what I understand so far, it’s a sub-category of care coordination and it’s a fairly new program.

I’ve just been going with the flow, and completing small tasks before the training with the clinical team begins sometime next month. I’m going to be honest, I am a little intimidated by everything I will be doing. It’s a lot of moving parts and collaboration, which is a huge change from being on my own at my previous job. I’m still adjusting to having communication with my team, but I’m getting there…slowly. I hope I’ll remember what I’m doing when I get a case load in a couple of months.

Anyways, this was just a small update because my brain has been fried for the past few months. How is everyone doing?

  1. I’ve been grinding it out over here, and have just been making do. Lol, that’s an interesting conundrum there, of not knowing what your job title is. Hope you find your answers soon!

    1. I feel like I’m making do as well, especially with everything going on. I’m thinking of hyphenating my two titles if I don’t get an official answer lol
